Michele Washington

Michele is the Owner and a Coach at Lagniappe! She has earned her CrossFit Level-1 and Level-2 Certificate, Barbell Rehab Method Certified, and has been a competitive athlete for over 8 years now. Throughout high school, she played basketball and ran track. She was introduced to Interval and Weight Training shortly during college and decided she still wanted to pursue more in health and wellness. She wants to share her passion with others by promoting the ways it has changed her perspective of fitness and physical well being. It has opened her eyes to a more global view of functional fitness and a healthy self image for herself. She values being a part of a community-based program and loves teaching what she feels so passionate about!

Justin is a 2023 Team SemiFinal athlete, who is the Head Coach and has been training and coaching with us for 6 years. He has been involved in the Fitness community for 9 years now and loves every second of it. He has a CF-L2 certificate, and has taken a personal training course through NASM as well as the ActiveLifeRx immersion program. His favorite thing about teaching is watching someone work hard and hit their goal! Justin loves competing and heavy lifting. His strength is.. well everything!

Tara has been an athlete for over 7 years.. she immediately fell in love with the community and programming that allowed her to push her limits and accomplish things physically that she never thought possible. She has a great passion for teaching and for providing people with the support they need to go beyond their own expectations and be the best versions of themselves. Tara is currently studying to receive her NASM Certified Personal Training and Certified Nutrition Coach certificates and is focused on overall wellness and keeping us all functionally fit at any age!

Megan became a member at Lagniappe in 2023 and is now a coach! Her coaching centers around empowerment and confidence-building. She believes that fitness is for anyone, and she thrives on working with individuals to help them realize their potential, regardless of where they start. She will help you both in the gym and in life with the confidence that she brings. Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned athlete, Megan will help you push past your limits and achieve your personal goals.

Outside of coaching, she enjoys an active lifestyle filled with outdoor adventures. You can often find her running, biking, or walking in the neighborhood with her dogs. As a Dental assistant and coaching, she skillfully balances her life with her passion for fitness, motivating her each day to inspire others on their fitness journeys as well. Join Megan on Thursday evenings at 5:30p and 6:30p!

Ben has over 5+ years of experience in the fitness industry and a distinguished career in Hospitality. Ben brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and passion to his work as a coach. He understands firsthand the importance of staying committed to a consistent training routine and maintaining balance to achieve physical performance. His experience has provided him with his insights into the importance of setting clear goals and pushing past personal comfort zones to achieve remarkable results. With Ben's coaching- he emphasizes the importance of tailoring individual training programs to each person's unique needs, goals, and abilities. He strongly believes that proper training, nutrition, and a disciplined mindset are crucial components in achieving anything. With Ben by your side, you can confidently tackle any challenge that comes your way!

Hollie has earned her CrossFit Level-1 Certificate in the fall of 2021 and has loved sharing her true passion for fitness! 

She competed in gymnastics through most of her life, but when she discovered weightlifting in 2020, she realized that this was more than just a lifting a barbell but also working on another goal. It not only prepares her for her continued athletic endeavors in competitions, but also provides a great atmosphere to challenge her everyday! It fits perfectly with her focus on helping people set personal goals, take control of their health, and teaching them how to improve each day. 

Randy Smith

Randy has been consistently taking his health and workouts serious going on 8 years now and he's never turning back. He was really intrigued about the methodology and competitive nature that group fitness classes seemed to foster. Most importantly, he noticed how tremendously helpful it became with his overall mental wellness in addition to just physical fitness. Randy spends most of his spare time either doing Double-Unders, Helping new members, Learning new skills, Studying Nutrition, or Talking to someone about his journey.  It's his life passion now!

Our mission is to walk alongside our members on their fitness journey as they put in the work to improve their quality of life through movement, nutrition, sports, and community. We not only offer classes, but actively particiapte in group activities outside of the gym.
